What’s Next?

How the process works & what to expect.

1. Schedule a Consultation.

A virtual meeting to discuss what support looks like, answer any questions that you may have, and ensure we are a good fit.

2. Make it Official.

Once you have decided you are ready to move forward, I will send over our contract with the invoice included. Typically, 50% of the total fee is due at signing with the remaining due at 36 weeks. If past 36 weeks payment may be due in full at the time of booking.

Payment options may be available. FSA/HSA accepted.

3. Getting to Know You.

I will send over a client intake form and birth plan which will include information such as your address, providers name/birthing location, and an in-depth birth plan covering your birth goals, preferences, and small details about your likes/dislikes.

4. Prenatal Visits.

At 36 weeks, we will schedule two prenatal visits, each lasting about 2 hours. During our first visit, we review your birth plan- line by line. Our second visit we will focus on preparing your body for labor, when I join you, and when to transfer to your birthing location (if necessary).

5. Birthday Party.

I join you for labor support and typically stay up to two hours after delivery. During these golden hours, I will help with breastfeeding and ensure you are settled before departing.

6. Postpartum Visit.

Within the first few weeks postpartum, I visit you in your home to debrief your birth experience, answer any postpartum and newborn questions, assist with breastfeeding, and provide resources for additional support, as needed.
